Weekly Services

Join in on our refreshing, inspiring, and encouraging services. They are designed to last less than one hour and to be "on point" with the deep issues of life.

All services held at Linden West Elementary School (7333 N Wyandotte Street, Gladstone, MO) at 5:00 p.m.

ASL interpretation is available upon request.

"Why 5:00 p.m. instead of Sunday morning?" Great question. We get it frequently. It's all about the importance of "weekending." Our services have been strategically scheduled at the end of the weekend after families have had the opportunity to be refreshed and renewed during the down time of "time off." We believe that Sunday evening is a perfect time to center one's mind, heart, and spirit on God's wisdom and strength. After all, you never know just how much you may need it come Monday morning!

"What's up with the 'Take-A-Break Sunday' thing?" Another great question. It's all about healthy, vibrant, and enjoyable family life and other relationships with friends and neighbors...those of our community. So, we occasionally take a break from the regularly scheduled Sunday service and focus our time and energy on those relationships in creative and refreshing ways. We believe that as we honor our most prized relationships and begin new ones, God will honor our relationship with Him and our community of Christ-followers.

Each of the following ministries provide fun, fellowship, and opportunities for learning life lessons. Announcements of special events are found on the "News" tab or by keeping an eye on the Discover Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/355098282017/.

REVEAL is Discover's ministry for middle and high school aged teens. The teens hang out together and with the youth sponsor on Sundays after the service and also each Wednesday nights. These are fun times where "a teen can be a teen."

Children

Children from birth through preteen are cared for and ministered to in a safe and loving environment during each service. Discover has a registration and monitoring system to insure your child's safety.

The DISCO GIRLS is Discover's ministry for the ladies. This ministry provides the ladies with fun activities and a safe place to build meaningful relationships.

The MOD Squad (Men Of Discover) get together on a monthly basis for a fun evening of food and fellowship. The men also lead the ministry effort of maintaining the landscaping at the Kansas City Rescue Mission Women's Ministry Center.

Discover Life Groups

Discover offers weekly opportunities for life - fun, fellowship, deepening and beginning new friendships, Bible study, and prayer. In these settings you enjoy a warm welcome to strengthen your community connection and your walk with Christ.
